Veronica Foreman

Veronica is a homeschool teacher, volunteer, and the proud mother of Ellen Foreman prize-winning pianist. It is through Ellen’s association with Musical Arts Center of San Antonio (MACSA) that she has become involved in the classical music community.

Always passionate about volunteering, at a young age Veronica supported her church and school’s efforts to bring food, books, and clothing to those in less-privileged communities. This love for community service led her to become involved in various organizations. She has been a parent ambassador at the now-closed Duke TIP Program, the lead parent ambassador at Kolbe Academy, board member and newsletter chair at the Junior Tuesday Musical Club, board member of the Catholic Schoolhouse Chapter San Antonio, member of the Tuesday Musical Club, library aide and substitute teacher at The Atonement Academy, and other schools in places where she previously lived, and has collaborated across multiple Catholic homeschooling groups in English and in Spanish. During the pandemic, Veronica was the producer of the JTMC’s monthly YouTube videos which enabled the club to hold regular monthly meetings, and also produced the Christmas Program Video for the Tuesday Musical Club. Additionally, she participated as a volunteer translator for the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia in Nashville, TN, for whom she aided in translating portions of their “Virtues in Practice” program into Spanish.

Back in Mexico, she served as Director of Ecology for the county, and then as the Coordinator for the Municipal System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF). As the Director of Environmental Services, she presented at a conference for the World Health Organization in Mexico. Veronica is the recipient of a national award from Editorial Televisa for developing an environmental education project. She worked as a teacher for eleven years in a Catholic school as part of the HPSSC (Hermanas de los Pobres Siervas del Sagrado Corazón). In her free time, she loves learning different types of computer software, engaging in graphic design work for websites and social media, reading novels and poetry, playing tennis, and playing video games.
