Cathleen comes from a musical family. She started piano lessons in 1st grade and continued taking lessons for many years.

Cathleen became aware of MACSA in 2000 when her children became students. Her children studied piano and voice at MACSA until they went to college. Her daughter even came back to work at MACSA in a staff capacity!

Cathleen’s first work with MACSA was as a computer consultant helping with the theory lab. When a receptionist was needed one afternoon a week, she gladly took the post. In 2009 MACSA’s second location moved to the Stone Oak area and a morning receptionist was wanted and Cathleen was excited to have the opportunity.

One thing led to another and Cathleen ended up working in the office with software, hardware and various reports. She also enjoys supporting all the staff and teachers in whatever way she can.
